Saxon with Mike at the playing field
in Abergavenny what fun he is
Last but not by any means least Save Our Police Officer.
If you look at the poem on the front page you will see that
policedog handlers are expected to look with equanimity on the prospect
of having a dog to train, becoming closer and closer as times show that
they depend on each other for their very lives. Then they are expected
by SOME police forces to just move on and start again without a second
thought.
In this case Saxon has saved Mike's life in circumstances that have
been terrifying. Can we expect any less of our police officers than to
make enormous efforts to save the lives of their dogs.
When they have to think..."Oh my god...If I try to save may dog it may
mean something drastic in the job area and then I have to think what
will happen to my wife and children"...maybe all sorts of financial
obligations cross their minds.... Too much stress, too much
unreined mental torture.

hours, sleepless nights very often.
Now the men and dogs are expected to round up drug barons, worse
than ever we are under the threat of terrorist suicide bombers.
If they slip and make a mistake, god help them.! The vultures and
hyenas are on their case.
It wont be those who sit in offices who are out there laying their
lives on the line. It will be the Guardians of the Night. Night
when most nefarious deeds are done. When villainous bands of
thieves prowl darkened shops and murderous misfits plot killing
the innocent. These miscreants don't give a thought to
picking up any lump of wood to hand, but many are now kitted out
like a private
army.
We must support our men who are our on first line of defence...
